Elizabeth Nestingen Cape

Memorial Fund

The Elizabeth Nestingen Cape Memorial Fund was established by Barbara Nestingen, a member of the MOWF Board of Directors, in memory of her late sister in 2010.  It has provided scholarships for the purchase of textbooks and other needed academic support for students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM).  Mrs. Cape was a University of Wisconsin-Stout and Whitewater graduate.

Eligible students may apply for the scholarship through UWM’s Financial Aid Office, which selects recipients. To date, $10,000 has been awarded to the students below:

Ashley Doust “I am so grateful for the scholarship, one of the most wonderful surprises to receive.  I feel incredibly overjoyed and appreciative that my hard work at UWM was noticed and I could not be more thankful.  As the Valedictorian in high school in Ashland, WI, this is my first scholarship.  Thank you MOWF!”

Huda Amad “This scholarship will benefit my career goals and help to pay for my book expenses and future endeavors. Thank you MOWF!”

Angelo Camalieri “Thank you for your aid! I am responsible for 100% of my tuition and living expenses and an out-of-pocket book expense is a struggle to fit into my budget. Your gift has greatly helped me. Thank you!”
